Learn to Swim Program
This entry level is designed for beginners who are just starting their swimming journey. The focus is on building confidence and comfort in the water through engaging activities that develop body balance, floating, and breathing control. Swimmers learn the basics of freestyle and backstroke kicking, bubble blowing, floating on both front and back, and correct body positioning, all in a safe and supportive environment.
The aim of Level 1 is to ensure children feel confident submerging, floating, and moving independently, providing the essential foundation for stroke development.
Level 1
Once swimmers are confident in the water, they progress to learning the essential skills of freestyle and backstroke. At this stage, the focus shifts to stroke structure and technique, including freestyle arms with side breathing, backstroke recovery and pull, and correct body alignment for efficient movement. Swimmers also learn pool safety and lane etiquette while practicing short distances independently.
The aim of Level 2 is to build coordination of arms, legs, and breathing so that swimmers can complete freestyle and backstroke over 5–10 metres with confidence.
Level 2
At Level 3, swimmers continue to refine their freestyle and backstroke technique while developing greater strength, stamina, and control. The focus is on improving stroke efficiency through correct timing, smoother breathing patterns, and stronger kick action. Swimmers are introduced to new skills such as basic breaststroke kick, treading water, and safe deep-water entries. They also learn how to maintain consistent pace and streamline position over longer distances.
The aim of Level 3 is to strengthen endurance and technique so that swimmers can swim freestyle and backstroke for 15–20 metres with improved coordination, rhythm, and confidence.
Level 3
In Level 4, swimmers consolidate their freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke skills while learning the fundamentals of butterfly. Technique development focuses on body position, effective propulsion, and smooth transitions between strokes. Swimmers practice bilateral breathing, correct breaststroke timing, and dolphin kick, while continuing to build endurance and water confidence in deeper water. They also refine their starts, turns, and finishes for each stroke.
The aim of Level 4 is to develop well-rounded swimmers who can demonstrate controlled technique across multiple strokes and swim 25 metres confidently using correct form and breathing.
