AUSKOR Swim School offers a 5-level program designed to help swimmers progress step by step. It starts with basic water safety and confidence, then gradually introduces more advanced strokes and techniques. Each level follows a structured weekly plan based on proven methods, ensuring steady improvement. The program is suitable for all ages and skill levels, providing a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment."

AUSKOR SWIM PROGRESSION 

- PASSION IN THE WATER -

Level 1

​

Prerequisite: Comfortable in shallow water and able to submerge                                           (Class size: 3 - 5 swimmers)


Objectives: Beginner: Kicking & Early Freestyle/Breathing

  • Build confidence: submersion, breathing pattern and floating

  • Develop flutter kick using kick boards and wall support

  • Introduce early freestyle: front glide, foundational arm movement 

       rhythmic side breathing​

Key Skills:

  • Bobs and blowing bubbles

  • Supported front/back floats

  • Flutter kick drills (with kick board)

  • Streamlined side breathing drills

Level 2 

​

Prerequisite: Completion of Level 1, sound flutter kick, comfort with floating                          (Class size: 3 - 5 swimmers)
 

Objectives: Freestyle & Backstroke Introduction

  • Refine flutter kick (body alignment & continuity)

  • Progress freestyle: coordinated strokes, rhythmic breathing

  • Introduce backstroke: supine kicking, arm alternation, streamlined body position

 

Key Skills:

  • Front and back flutter kick with kick board

  • Freestyle swim using kick board

  • Alternating arm backstroke with rhythmic breathing

  • Introduction to bilateral rollout/backstroke positioning

Level 3

​

Prerequisite: Competent freestyle and backstroke over 15–25 m                                                (Class size: 5 - 7 swimmers)
 

Objectives: Breaststroke Introduction & Stroke Refinement

  • Strengthen freestyle and backstroke endurance and technique

  • Introduce breaststroke: whip kick, arm pull, glide timing

 

Key Skills:

  • Breaststroke pull-kick-glide sequence (surface drills)

  • Continual stroke development and progression across existing strokes

Level 4

​

Prerequisite: Sound foundation of freestyle, backstroke and basic breaststroke timing          (Class size: 5 - 7 swimmers)
 

Objectives: Butterfly Introduction & Multi-Stroke Integration

  • Advance freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke technique

  • Introduce butterfly: dolphin kick, body undulation, pull recovery

 

Key Skills:

  • Dolphin kick drills (vertical, streamline)

  • Land/body-unbar drills leading to in-water fly

  • One-arm butterfly progression to full stroke

Level 5

​

Prerequisite: Confident in all four strokes                                                                                    (Class size: 5 - 10 swimmers)

 

Objectives: Pre‑Squad / Squad Prep

  • Refine and build endurance in all four strokes

  • Introduce technical skills: dive starts (platform/side start), turns (flip & open), underwater dolphin kick

  • Begin speed and interval training

 

Key Skills:

  • Underwater: Streamlined dolphin kick off the wall (10–15 m)

  • Starts: Side‑dives or block dives with streamlined entry

  • Turns:

    • Freestyle/backstroke flip-turns.

    • Breaststroke/fly open turns with push-off & streamline.

  • Speed Work: Interval training

  • Fitness Sets: Continuous sets building to 800-1500 m

  • Swimming Etiquette: Pace clock familiarity, lane etiquette, turns etiquette
